    About

Alfreda McCray is a Global Leadership & Wellness Coach dedicated to helping organizations scale leadership effectiveness and prioritize practices for resilience and wellbeing. Alfreda takes a holistic approach to her work to help aspiring and emerging leaders to build confidence, maximize potential, and prevent burnout.

  • My Story

I work with purpose driven professionals and mission-driven organizations to support the growth, well-being, thriving, and resilience of leaders, particularly for those that have been historically underserved or underrepresented.

As a high-performing professional, I recognized the pressure and stress I put on myself to constantly perform. I realized after a serious illness that there was another way to be with myself –one that was more sustainable, kind, and put an end to the self-brutality that had me up at night. I learned to put self care at the top of to-do list, to build self-efficacy, and to lead myself through adversity, and it has made all the difference. If you’d like to learn how to bring more clarity, confidence, and compassion to your life and work, then I’d love to partner to help you reach your development goals.

I have served as a strategic partner to support global leadership development, business transformation, and strategic Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives in the private and public sectors. My background includes over 15 years of experience in project management, organizational change, IT services delivery, and management consulting.

My coach training comes from the University of Cambridge's Institute of Continuing Education, the Executive Coaching College, and the International Coach Academy. My undergraduate degree is from Georgetown University and I have an MA in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University specializing in Servant Leadership. I have been coaching professionally for 10 years, and hold credentials as a Board Certified Executive/Leadership Coach, ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner (EQ-i 2.0/EQ 360), and Certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator.

  • Testimonials

"I've learned how to start small to get to things I need to accomplish. Most of my days are spent thinking about solutions and then creating those solutions so I rarely have time to make strides in the other pieces of my work where I need to grow, like asserting or developing myself. My coach, Alfreda, has helped me find time to create and celebrate small wins and big wins alike and make time for me."
